My name is Nicolas, I was born in Southern Brittany, a region where I lived for a long time before settling down seven years ago on the shores of the Mediterranean. I have been a trained portrait painter since 2002, the year of my first job as a photographer. At the time we photographed on film and I only learned digital from 2010. I worked first in La Baule then in Tignes, Sainte Maxime and especially in Arcachon within the studio L' Black and White Workshop.

This experience allowed me to join the Promise Photography team in London in 2007, one of Britain's leading wedding photography agencies. Bringing out the light, discovering your creativity and strengthening your technical background was our main focus, but above all “learning to tell stories in images”. I still work from time to time for Promise Photography.  At the same time, I set off on the roads of the world. I had the chance to live in Kenya where I discovered field reporting through my meetings with rural populations, the Masai and wildlife. Today I still produce a few reports per year. Artists, sea and boats are my favorite subjects.
